Objectives: Learn and apply Internet searching and researching techniques to gather information for solving a specific problem. By thouroughly researching and presenting the results, the student will learn much useful information about Internet hosting and website related services.

Definition of Problem:

SC-Eztech**, is a company that sells and services computers and computer equipment. Due to rapid expansion over the past several years, the company has had little time to develop a Web Site.

The first assignment is the following:

1) Using Internet research, identify a web hosting solution for SC-Eztech. Compare 3 different web hosting solutions and Tripod including their services and cost. Please cover the details  provided in class and complete the attached grid.  33%

2) Contact at least one Web hosting company via email asking them a question about what services are provided. 33%

3) Make a recommendation of one Web hosting solution that will meet the needs of the company.  Be sure to include, at least 3 good reasons for your choice! 34%

Note: SC-Eztech would like the ability to sell products and provide technical support from their web site.

Hand in a printed, stapled, copy of the following; a) the completed comparison matrix, b) a one page recommendation, choosing one of the web hosting solutions, including at least three detailed reasons, c) the email and response with at least one of the web hosting companies from the comparison. Include details covered in class.

**If you have a business or other organization that you would like to substitute for SC-EZtech, you may. However, all requirements must still be handed in as specified.
